Guangzhou Port adds Alexandria Port as its 54th sister port

         Guangzhou Port and Alexandria, Egypt signed a letter of intent for sister port cooperation.

　　 There are 54 sister ports in cooperation with Guangzhou.

　　 Since 2003, Guangzhou Port has established sister port partnerships with Durban Port in South Africa, Lagos Port in Nigeria, and Dakar Port in Senegal.

　　Yuan Yue, deputy director of the Guangzhou Port Authority, said that Guangzhou Port is a hub port for China's container trade connecting Africa.

　　 Guangzhou Port currently has 6 liner routes to Suez, Egypt. In 2020, it will import 20,000 tons of goods from Egypt and export 440,000 tons of goods to Egypt.
