Xiamen Port orders four new tugboats

         Xiamen Port Holding Group is investing in the purchase of four tugboats to upgrade its fleet.

　　 The company plans to purchase and build two 6,800 BHP Billiton tugboats, one 5,000 BHP Billiton tugboats and one 4,000 BHP Billiton tugboats at a total cost of approximately RMB 160 million (US$25 million).

　　The construction period of the new building is 14 months.

　　 Xiamen Port Holdings stated that the purchase of tugboats will meet the growing demand for tugboats in the next three years, as well as the expansion of offshore business in Quanzhou Port, Xiamen Bay and adjacent ports.

　　 Currently, Xiamen Port has 34 tugboats.
