Cainiao Airlines and Saudi Cargo cooperate on flights between China and Europe



       Alibaba's logistics arm Cainiao Smart logistics Network (Cainiao Smart logistics Network) and Saudi Cargo (Saudi Cargo) will cooperate on five flights a week, from Hong Kong to Liege in Belgium, with Riyadh as the connection point.


  The partnership began today, aiming to build an air bridge connecting Asia, Europe and the Middle East to meet the growing demand for e-commerce.


   Saudi cargo company will use Boeing 777 freighter to operate two routes of this route.


   With the opening of new flights, customers in the Middle East can receive online orders from China within 10 days. Products popular with consumers in the Middle East include electronics, clothing and household products.


Cainiao’s chief strategist and general manager of export logistics said: “The partnership with Saudi cargo is the key to expanding our global logistics network to improve export efficiency.
