Shenzhen Customs uncovered a major smuggling case of 170 million yuan in famous brand watches



        Recently, Shenzhen Customs and the Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau launched a special operation against the smuggling of high-end watches, arresting 15 suspects and successfully destroying a criminal network smuggling high-end brand-name watches. Nearly 200 high-end watches were seized on the spot, with a case value of up to 170 million yuan.

"Because high-end watches are small in size, high in value, and easy to carry, they are the key targets of the travel inspection ports.    The anti-smuggling department carried out research and judgment on the smuggling of high-end watches. After comparing and analyzing big data, it gradually sorted out a smuggling chain of high-end watches carried by truck drivers from Guangdong and Hong Kong. Through massive data collisions, it was discovered that the domestic cargo owners involved in the case bought high-end watches from overseas through Hong Kong watch dealers, and then handed them over to the customs clearance group to smuggle them into the country by means of "water passenger" personalities, baggage hiding, or Guangdong and Hong Kong brand truck drivers. Deliver to domestic cargo owners for sale for profit.


   After the facts of the case were clarified and the time for arrest was ripe, Shenzhen Customs decided to launch an operation to collect the net. Anti-smuggling departments carried out simultaneous arrests and investigations in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Beijing and other places. 15 arrested targets were arrested one after another. Nearly 200 watches of high-end brands such as Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Cartier, Rolex, and Kunlun were seized on the spot.

   Located in a watch store in Luohu District, the anti-personnel officer found 67 suspected smuggled watches from the safe in the store. Among them, the most expensive is a Richard Mille brand watch. According to the suspect, The price is as high as millions of yuan.
