Hainan Free Trade Port's first intercontinental transoceanic route opened

On September 28, Hainan Free Trade Port's first intercontinental transoceanic route-Yangpu-South Pacific-Australia container route officially opened at Yangpu Xiaochan Beach Terminal. The route is operated by COSCO SHIPPING Container Lines Co., Ltd. At this stage, two 1,400-box container ships have been put into operation, and the ship schedule has a density of two weeks.

The route covers Hong Kong, China, Cebu, the Philippines, Lae, Papua New Guinea, and Port Moresby, as well as ports such as Townsville and Darwin in Australia. It can provide coconut, logs, beef, minerals and other products from Hainan and even China and South Pacific countries. The FMCG trade provides fast and efficient direct sea routes.

The opening of this route has achieved a zero breakthrough in Hainan’s intercontinental transoceanic route, and at the same time filled the gap between Yangpu and the Philippines, encrypted the route connection between Yangpu and Hong Kong, greatly improved the layout of Yangpu’s foreign trade routes, and played a role for Yangpu. The role of the new western land and sea channel as an outlet has laid a solid foundation for China's important opening to the Indo-Pacific.
