Italy's new cargo airline starts to fly to China

The new Italian cargo airline Aliscargo has started flying to China twice a week.

New Airlines obtained the AOC on July 21, and used the pre-installed B777-200 for the first commercial flight between Milan Malpensa and Jinan on August 18.

Since its inaugural flight, the airline has operated two Milan-Jinan flights a week, as well as a charter flight to Gaborone.

On August 20th, Aliscargo also received the second B777-200 jet.

The airline ultimately hopes to open North American routes. Its management team has two well-known figures in the industry: CEO Francesco Rebaudo and Chief Commercial Officer Ulrich Ogiermann.

Chairman Fulvio Gismondi said in July that the company hopes to take advantage of the air cargo market: "Air transport is in the world for two years between 2020 and 2021, and shipments of high-needed emergency medical supplies are pandemic, recording important sales and revenue surges. Compared to previous years.

"The continuous expansion of e-commerce has also reinforced this trend. Today, the need to provide customized freight services based on products and destinations is increasingly being verified."
